- Clean up your existing playbooks. Remove the stale steps. Fix the broken links. Update the escalation contacts. A good foundation pays dividends when it becomes training data.
- Structure and tag aggressively. AI systems work better when your playbooks have consistent structure, clear phase labels (Detection → Investigation → Containment → Recovery), and rich metadata about what alert types they apply to.
- Document your environment explicitly. Dynamic playbooks need to know what tools you actually have deployed. If that's not documented clearly, the generated procedures will make incorrect assumptions.
- Build your feedback mechanisms now. Start capturing analyst deviation from playbook steps today, even if you're not yet using AI generation. That dataset will be valuable faster than you expect.
